Storage

In 2008 Apsley Recruitment was approached by the director of a new Storage technology company starting up a UK operation. They had recruited some key staff via their own network of contacts, but despite a series of advertisements they had been unable to run an effective recruitment campaign. The UK operations director had worked with us before and knew we had good contacts in their very specific area of technology. He wanted to retain a sole supplier he could trust to deliver and would represent them competently in a very tight-knit community. We quickly shortlisted candidates for technical testing, gathered from a range of existing contacts, referrals, searches and complex web ‘watchdogs’. Candidates have now been placed in three separate disciplines, and more have been briefed and lined up ready for the company’s 2009 expansion plans. Additionally we were asked to discretely headhunt a specific individual, which we conducted successfully. All this has taken place without the need for the client to engage with other recruitment organisations.
